How to choose the right farming equipment ?

Housing and rearing facilities

1. Spicies reared and their specific needs
- Physiology: each species has specific needs in terms of space, temperature, humidity, light and ventilation. The number of animals targeted is therefore the first point to take into account. Potential future developments must also be taken into account.
- Behaviour: the building must be designed to allow the animals to express their natural behaviour (feeding, resting, socialising).

- Animal welfare: the buildings must comply with current animal welfare standards. For example, very clear standards have been set at European level for the surface area for rearing laying hens. If you opt for the organic farming label, other rules apply. Each label publishes its own rules.
