Pluckers

The poultry pluckers offered by CABI are designed for defeathering all types of birds, from palmipeds to gallinaceous. They are generally made up of 2 blocks, one with rollers and the other with fingers. The finger block will first remove most of the feathers from the animal. The roller block will then finish the job by removing the remaining small feathers.

The Gallinaceous Plucker

This plucker is designed to defeather gallinaceous birds (chickens, turkeys, etc.) at a low temperature (between 48°C and 53°C). This ensures perfect plucking without damaging the skin. The plucker has 10 rows of 6 fingers. The fingers can be loaded individually and several categories of fingers can be fitted to the plucker. It is therefore possible to vary the number and/or hardness of the fingers depending on the poultry to be plucked (quail, pigeon, turkey, etc.). The stainless steel and plastic frame is designed to make the machine extremely sturdy. The self-lubricating plastic gears require minimum maintenance. Easy to clean with a hose.

Palmiped plucker

This finger block is specially designed for palmipeds. The feather plucker has 2 rows of star-shaped fingers that turn towards each other. The flexibility of the fingers allows them to follow the shape of the animal without damaging the skin. Before being plucked, the bird must be soaked in water at 70°/75°C. Under the plucking machine there is a feather collection tray. The stainless steel and plastic frame is designed to be extremely sturdy and long-lasting. The self-lubricating plastic gears require minimal maintenance. The plucker is fitted with a foot-operated control. Easy to clean with a hose.

The stainless-steel roller plucker

The unit consists of 2 stainless steel rollers that rotate towards each other. The wet feathers stick to the roller, which in turn “plucks” the animal. This plucker is highly effective for removing all the down from poultry quickly and effortlessly. Simply place the bird on the block and turn it on all sides against the rollers. The feathers fall into a feather tray for easy cleaning. The stainless steel and plastic frame is designed to be sturdy and long-lasting. The self-lubricating plastic gears require minimum maintenance. The plucker is equipped with a foot-operated control.

“Le Rêve” and “La Mixte” pluckers

LE RÊVE plucker

This defeathering machine, designed for palmipeds, consists of two blocks (one with rollers and one with fingers) each equipped with a single-phase motor and a foot switch. The two blocks are linked by a table designed to support the birds during plucking. A trolley with rollers enables the machine to be moved around. Gallinaceans can also be plucked on the finger block after soaking them at 68°.

LA MIXTE plucker

This defeathering machine is equipped with a stainless-steel roller block for removing the down and finishing the wing and rump feathers. The finger block allows you to pluck a chicken in a matter of seconds. A trolley with wheels makes the machine mobile. Gallinaceans can be plucked on the finger block after soaking them at 68°.

The fingers can be changed (partially or completely) very quickly and effortlessly, allowing you to vary the number or hardness of the fingers depending on the poultry to be plucked (quail, turkey, chicken, etc.).

The plucker is fitted with a self-lubricating plastic gearbox that requires minimal maintenance. All parts are sold individually and are interchangeable.
