Plucking machines

The plucking machines offered by CABI are designed for plucking all types of poultry, including both waterfowl and gallinaceous birds. They often consist of two units: one with rollers and the other with fingers. The finger plucker unit first removes the majority of the animal’s feathers. The roller plucker unit then finishes the job by removing the remaining small feathers.

Gallinaceous Bird Plucker

This plucking machine is designed to pluck gallinaceous birds (chickens, guinea fowl, turkeys, etc.) using low-temperature scalding (between 48° and 53°). This allows for perfect plucking without damaging the skin. The machine is equipped with 10 rows of 6 fingers. The fingers can be loaded individually, and several types of fingers can be adapted to the machine. It is therefore possible to vary the number and/or hardness of the fingers depending on the poultry to be plucked (quail, pigeon, turkey, etc.). The stainless steel and plastic frame is designed to provide great robustness to the machine. The self-lubricating plastic gearing requires minimal maintenance. Easy cleaning with a water jet.

Waterfowl Plucker

This finger unit is specifically designed for waterfowl. The plucking machine consists of two rows of star-shaped fingers that rotate toward each other. The flexibility of the fingers allows them to follow the animal’s shape closely and work thoroughly without damaging the skin. Before being plucked, the waterfowl must be scalded in water at 70°-75°C. A feather collection tray is located under the machine. The stainless steel and plastic frame is designed to offer great strength and durability. The self-lubricating plastic gearing requires minimal maintenance. The plucking machine is equipped with a foot control. Easy cleaning with a water jet.

Stainless Steel Roller Plucker

The unit consists of two stainless steel rollers that rotate toward each other. The wet feathers stick to the roller, which “plucks” the animal as it turns. This machine is very effective for quickly and effortlessly removing all the small down from poultry. Simply place the bird on the unit and turn it on all sides against the rollers. Feathers fall into a collection tray, making cleaning easier. The stainless steel and plastic frame is designed to offer great strength and durability. The self-lubricating plastic gearing requires minimal maintenance. The plucking machine is equipped with a foot control.

“Le Rêve” Plucking Machine

The LE RÊVE plucking machine, intended for waterfowl, consists of two units (one roller and one finger), each equipped with a single-phase motor and a foot switch. The two units are connected by a table designed to support the birds during plucking. A wheeled trolley allows for the machine’s mobility. Gallinaceous birds can be plucked on the finger unit after being scalded at 68°.

“Mixte” Plucking Machine

The plucking machine is equipped with a stainless steel roller unit to remove down and finish the wing and tail feathers. The finger unit allows a chicken to be plucked in a few seconds. A wheeled trolley allows for the machine’s mobility. Gallinaceous birds can be plucked on the finger unit after being scalded at 68°.

Changing the fingers (partially or completely) is done very quickly and effortlessly, allowing the number or hardness of the fingers to be varied according to the poultry being plucked (quail, turkey, chicken, etc.).
