CABI Fix, the fixed rearing building

• Size and capacity: the building should be sized according to the number of birds you plan to rear.
• Insulation: good thermal insulation helps maintain a stable temperature inside the building.
• Ventilation: make sure you have an adequate ventilation system to evacuate stale air and bring in fresh air. Ventilation can be natural, but it is essential to plan the layout of your building to take into account prevailing winds. Ventilation can be forced if necessary.
• Lighting: appropriate lighting is important to encourage the birds’ natural behaviour and productivity.

Some animals, such as poultry and chicks in particular, are more sensitive to cold temperatures. In this case, a barn built with double-skinned insulating panels is compulsory, and has to be backed up by heating. For other animals, such as ducks or sheep, simple sheet metal insulation is sufficient. The result is a less expensive barn.

Our buildings can be configured with different insulation materials. Our insulation panels have three certifications: QB42, Acermi and EN13501.

They are the only ones in Europe to have obtained French QB42 certification.

QB42 is a standard that certifies quality:

• Resistance to deformation due to wind and seismic action
• Thermal performance
• Durability in relation to external and internal atmospheres

Acermi certifies the quality of thermal conductivity (insulating capacity).

Standard EN 13501 certifies fire resistance.

Our fixed modular barns are less expensive than traditional barns and they are just as strong. The arches and beams are welded, and the tubular structure is even heavier than the one of traditional barns.

The advantage of an easy-to-assemble kit barn is that it can also be dismantled and resold in the long term if the activity changes. This is not possible with a traditional barn.
